In 2003 I worked for the Klamath Network Inventory and Monitoring Program, that included field work at six National Park Service sites: Lassen Volcanic National Park, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, Redwoods National Park, Oregon Caves National Monument, Crater Lake National Park, and Lava Beds National Monument. At each park I camped for two to six weeks and conducted invasive plant surveys throughout the front and back country. I also installed vegetation plots designed to measure the influence of roadways on invasive plant distributions. Lastly, I assisted the rare plants crew on several surveys at the Redwoods, Lassen and Lava Beds parks.
